THE MAGIC-makers
MAHO MAGIC BAR’S CAST
Shirayuri
When not strutting his stuff with his friends on the streets of Harajuku, fashion-forward Shirayuri spends most of his time creating mischief on Japanese television. Hailing from Funabashi, Chiba, Shirayuri has travelled extensively for magic, including time in Hollywood at The Magic Castle as well as Las Vegas. A student of legendary Japanese magician, Shoot Ogawa, Shirayuri is a smooth operator, with hipster flair aplenty.

Sawaka
Hailing from Kanagawa, just south of Tokyo, Sawaka is our hostess and ringmistress. When not commanding the floor in Maho Magic Bar, Sawaka works as an actress. She is active on the Japanese stage and in film and television, having worked with legendary directors including David Leveaux and Hideki Noda.

Kaori Kitazawa
Kaori Kitazawa hails from Tokyo. Her father loved magic when she was growing up – but she was more sceptical. Then at the age of twenty, she became a magician’s stage assistant. It was her first, true encounter with magic, and she fell in love. Shaking up gender stereotypes of this typically male domain, Kaori has been perfecting her craft for more than a decade, bringing kawaii charm to a superb skill set.
E.O. LEE
Bringing his own kooky blend of Harajuku style to the Maho family, E.O. Lee is a lego master and also loves nothing more than scrambled eggs in the morning. E.O. Lee is no stranger to Australia, having participated in an exchange program with a school in Ipswich, Queensland in high school.
Wambi
Hailing from Toyohashi, the heart of Japan’s motor vehicle industry, Wambi applies engineering marvel to all he touches. With an arsenal of hardware props, alongside traditional sleight-of-hand cool, Wambi can usually be found burning rubber at Ropponghi’s famed underground magic bar, Osmond.
